Lichen Grows Fast!
In 2022, we captured this photo of a roof where the roof treatment did not go ahead. Upon revisiting the roof two years later, we observed a rapid deterioration in it’s condition, and further degrading of the roof paintwork.

Lichen and Algae love to cling onto the traditional rich texture of the terracotta roofs. Many old roofs may have both lichen and black mould deeply ingrained into the tiles. Our treatment service is effective in removing all the lichen growth from these roofs, but the black mould which some, have been developing over the last century will take longer to see a visible difference.
Does Slow Activating Roof Treatment Really Work?
After years of heavy lichen growth, we gave this warehouse roof one drone spray application of treatment solution. Just 10 months later, we can see what a huge difference this has made. With a bit of patience, the roof will continue to clear and improve over time.
